Welcome to Whiskeytown Sailing Club!

History and Tradition

Our sailors began meeting at Whiskeytown Lake soon after the dedication of Whiskeytown Dam by President John F. Kennedy on September 28, 1963. We have sponsored the Whiskeytown Memorial Regatta for over 45 years, hosting as many as 300 sailors. Some of our sailors are third generation, following in the footsteps of their parents and grandparents.

Safety First and Community Service

The Whiskeytown Sailing Club has an excellent relationship with our local Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 39, which brings its patrol boats and safety expertise to our sailing events. We also partner with the Boy Scouts, assisting with Small Boat Sailing Merit Badge, and work with the YMCA to develop new aquatic adventures for youth at Whiskeytown Lake.

Membership

A membership application form can be found under the "Resources" tab. We welcome new members, whether or not they own a sailboat. Come join us and enjoy the most beautiful inland sailing in California!
